Ligonberry Jam

Lingonberries are native to Scandinavia and North America. They can be found in the northernmost parts of the US and are hard to find in the US. 

They are cousins to the cranberry but slightly sweeter and a lot smaller.

They have an intense almost pungent flavor and are quite tart.

Because of their intense flavor and tartness they make a great jam and the jam can also be used a a sauce - much like cranberry sauce. Lingonberry jam goes well on wild game meats.

Note:  Our lingonberries are harvested wild in the Pacific Northwest.
