Uncle Denny's Caramel Pecan Topping

This is our caramel topping with a generous helping of pecans.

The pecans are cooked into the caramel so that in addition to a generous helping of pecans the caramel has a rich praline tone infused into it.

Made with real cream and loads of real butter.

Please note that the pecans float to the top during the bottling process.

Because this is made with real butter it will get thicker as it gets colder.

You can warm this gently if you'd like in the microwave. Low power for a short time, stir, repeat if needed.  It is better to warm a dollop in a ramekin rather than the whole jar at once.

Don’t buy this stuff. Seriously. It’s a one-way trip to addiction! I suspect it uses some kind of dessert voodoo to transform plain Vanilla ice cream into a near religious experience.
Plop a dollop of this Carmel Pecan goop on simple ice cream and the dimensions of your personal flavor universe will get seriously messed up.
I have to limit myself to using it once a month or less — and I’ve had to cut back from a tablespoon to a teaspoon, cuz using more makes me feel like I maybe should run to the nearest church and pray for forgiveness. I’m going to stop writing this now, because something is compelling me to check my freezer to be sure I have more ice cream ready. Save yourselves. It’s too late for me.
